Derrick Bryan (M.A. The Ohio State University 2006; B.S/B.A Morehouse College 2004) is PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at Ohio State. He has been a student affiliate of the Criminal Justice Research Center since 2004. His current work examines the social, emotional, cultural and psychological consequences of racial oppression and social inequality for African American males and other people of color in various domains in society (e.g., family, education, workplace, athletics, crime, etc.). His research interests also include gender, family, and education.
