- Abstract:
- The object of this study was to combine the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s annual crime data sets from 1960 to 2002, and create agency-level data sets giving the time series of crime, by type, month by month for the entire period. This entailed cleaning the data, e.g., making judgments as to when an agency’s crime count was missing or in error and when a zero signified no crime for that month. The data set was subsequently updated to include 2003 and 2004.
